I became involved with my friends at The Fostering Network a couple of years ago, firsty through work and now on a personal level.

The Fostering Network is the UK's leading fostering charity. Children and young people are at the heart of everything they do.

I want to help raise awareness to the amazing fact that they work with approximately 60,000 foster carers to help over 64,000 children living with foster families throughout the UK on a daily basis. 

Fostered children and all young children deserve the same life opportunities as their peers, including a stable relationship, education achievements and a positive experience in a family life.

I was very fortunate in November of last year to be invited to The Fostering Excellence awards.

The Duchess of Cambridge on the evening quoted  "This is such a great opportunity to pay tribute to the incredible achievements of the award winners, who represent the tens of thousands of dedicated foster carers, social workers and inspirational young people who make up the fostering community"

I will be running the Manchester 10k on Sunday the 22nd May to raise valuable funds for The Fostering network, this means that all your donations will go towards the wonderful work they do to give opportunities to thousands of children, make their voices heard and enable them to reach their full potential.
