Project Trust is a registered charity which sends around 200 young volunteers abroad to 25 countries every year. It is widely respected as one of the most experienced and professional Gap Year organisations in Britain. Project Trust is special in that it sends volunteers abroad for a whole year to work in one place as they feel that this is the only way for a volunteer to really learn about and appreciate the local culture and to make a difference.

During my gap year with Project Trust I will be going to the city of Polokwane in South Africa to work in a school for mentally and physically disabled children, teaching them English and caring for them in every day life. I will be living in a flat on the outskirts of the city and travelling into work during the week.

I need to raise £5,600 to cover the cost of my flights, insurance and training before I go and I have lots of fundraising ideas to help me reach this target. I will update this webpage with events and new ideas.
