Story
We are getting married at Jesus Church, Troutbeck on Saturday 11th July, 2015!!
We met at St. Mary's Church in Windermere, and soon after Brian finished training, we started dating and were engaged on September 29th, 2013. Brian is currently acting as the Parish Missioner at Jesus Church, and because of this connection we wanted to make our wedding a Christian celebration and a real village affair.
The wedding itself is at Jesus Church in the heart of the beautiful Troutbeck valley, and the service is open to all - hopefully a full-house! In keeping with making our wedding a village affair the Reception is to be held at the nearby Troutbeck Institute for close family and friends. This will be followed by Afternoon Tea at 3.30-6.00pm with champagne, soft drinks and cake, and which again is open to all the community in Troutbeck and friends in Windermere.
We wanted our wedding gifts to reflect our thankfulness for the blessing of meeting and coming together. With this in mind, allowing our gifts to bless others is in the spirit of our wedding celebration.
Some of our close friends are involved with supporting Father Steven working for the Missionary Community of St Paul the Apostle (MCSPA) in Turkana in N. Kenya. "New Ways" is an English charity that works solely to raise money for MCSPA.
The work carried out by Father Steven and MCSPA in Todonyang is bringing tribal communities together, through education and other essential needs. We feel that our wedding gifts and your generosity will be put to very worthwhile use in Turkana. For pictures of some of the work they do please go to : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3FMBa5VkQI
Many thanks for your generosity, and if you can make it please do feel free to come to the Wedding and/or Afternoon Tea - see you there!
