Story
Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.
I will be running in the Asics Neon Run in Sunderland on 25th October 2014 in aid of the Craig Macfie Foundation. Craig was my nephew and I'd like to run in his memory whilst contributing to the Foundation. There will be lots of neon paint and glow sticks!
About Craig
Craig was tragically killed in November 2011 by a drunk driver whilst he was cycling in Oregon. The Craig Macfie Foundation serves as a means to honor, celebrate and remember Craig’s life while promoting causes close to his and his friends’ and family’s hearts. The foundation has a fund within the Skiers Trust of Great Britain which is controlled by the foundation’s trustees. All donations will go directly into this fund.
The Foundation’s Aims:
In keeping with Craig’s passion for skiing the primary focus of the foundation will be to promote and encourage the sport on both a local and national level.
Furthermore, the foundation will aim to raise awareness of the dangers of drink driving and raise motorists' awareness of the rights of cyclists on the road.
