Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, I think you will agree that as pages go, it is a smashingly nice page.
Over the next 12 months my wife and I will be trying to raise as much money as possible for Happy Staffie Rescue. It is a small dog rescue charity that is run by some super smashing volunteers, helping dogs to find caring forever homes with people that will love and care for them.
They are currently trying to raise money to acquire their own rescue centre or kennels as at the moment they are having to rent kennel space.
Why not check out their website at www.happystaffierescue.org.uk and have a look at the 'Bark Appeal' section. It is a lovely website by the way, a treat to look at some might say. Whilst surfing away why not have a look at the page listing the dogs they have in their care at the moment, you never know your next best friend may just be waiting for you. We found 2 of our dogs on that page. Bob and Brian. 2 of the nicest dogs you could hope to meet. We also have Nora that we had rescued a year or 2 ago.
Now then, lets get to the point.
Last December some of you were kind enough to sponsor me to do a sponsored fast. I managed 7 days without eating a thing and managed to raise £160 on this page.
This time my wife and I are going to dress up as vegetables and take part in a 22 mile sponsored walk.
I shall be dressed as a giant parsnip and my good lady wife will be disguised as a carrot.
If you could sponsor us, even a small amount would make a huge difference to this fantastic charity that is very close to our hearts.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure and above all, its fun too. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails or turn up on your doorstep and poke you with large sticks or paint your cat a strange shade of purple. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thank you very much indeed for looking even if you can't donate at this time.
