Story
The Apprentice Ship Cup is an exciting sailing competition founded by The Merseyside Adventure Sailing Trust (M.A.S.T) charity. The competition will involve a race along the west coast using traditional tall ships crewed by over 150 young apprentices aged 16 – 25. The race will coincide with The International Festival of Business 2014 and The Mersey River Festival.
Why am I taking part- The reason I am taking part it to promote top quality apprenticeships that have brilliant development opportunities not just in a business context but personal and life experiences. I feel by doing this challenge it will help develop and grow all individuals that take part.
I hope to develop my leadership skills, communication skills and also learn to deal with problems that may be out my comfort and knowledge zone (As I have never sailed before!)
