Hello, I recently visited Calais, where I helped out with the recent refugee crisis. Were I was able to experience the conditions and the situation which is happening right now, first hand.
My eyeopening experience lead me too the jungle were many vulnerable refugees are seeking asylum.
Within the jungle are amazing, kind, clever people (normally doctors, businessmen ect). Who are in desperately need of your help. They are all living in a area of land called they "jungle". This area of land holds around 4000 refugees. This area of land wouldn't be legal for farmers to keep pigs on. This is due to the toxic chemicals and rubbish, yet people have no choice but too live there.Their hometowns are in war, Staying means people live constantly be fearing for their life. Unaware of when next shooting/bombing or attack will occur. Only means of survival is leaving their friends, families and homes too seek asylum.
They aren't animals, they are people like you and me, with families and love ones there who die each day due to the horrible conditions which they are forced to stay in for their "safety".
Due to the recent decision by the French government, the jungle within Calais which I volunteered at, will soon no longer be available to donate too. However, Dunkirk camp has a greater proportion of refugees already and a great need for shoes also. The shoes will go to Calais warehouse and then on to Dunkirk which is 30 miles away.
Money raised, will go towards buying new shoes for the refugees.
Your donation will be much appreciated by myself and all the refugees in need of shoes. Your donation will save and improve many of the refugees life's.
Thank you!
