We help parents of prem and sick babies to cope at a critical time in their lives

Story

Our son, Armaan Arshed, was born 16 weeks too early on 20th December 2015.

With only a 10% chance of surviving the first few minutes of life, he defied all odds and made it. The next hurdle was 24 hours where odds of surviving were minimal, our soldier fought on for 60 hours.

He waited until all his uncles and aunties from across UK and Ireland met him before becoming our gaurdian Angel.

Heartbroken and devastated are only 2 of the many feelings we're going through right now. Along with our son went all our hopes and dreams. We never got to hold him properly, watch him grow, change his nappy, give him milk and food. We never got to play with him, tickle him, massage him. His sister never got to hold her little brother that she was 'practising for' for many months with dolls. With him, went our future, without him our family is broken, without him we are lost, a hole in our lives that cannot be filled.

A son, a brother, a grandson, a nephew and a cousin all taken from us in a flash. It feels like a nightmare we just can't wake up from. Waiting for someone to call us and tell us everything's ok, Armaan is fine, Armaan is safe, but nobody's calling. Just people saying they're sorry for our loss everywhere we go, people telling us 'we'll have more'. Little do they know that our son cannot be replaced.

Premature birth is a major cause for death in young babies. 1500 deaths per year in the UK due to premature birth. The cause for this, in most cases like ours, is unknown. All our questions are answered with 'it was meant to happen' or 'it would have happened even if you were bed bound for months'. No answers, our son is gone and no one can tell us why.

Tiny Life research premature births and our skydive is to help raise funds for Tiny Life, so in future, if this happens to others, we hope our money and research will help give the answers we never received.

We have a group of 10 skydiving which includes his Daddy, 5 uncles and 4 aunties, plenty of cheerleaders and helpers to get us ready.

Thanks for reading and thank you for your donations.

Forever in our hearts. We'll meet you soon son.
