Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We are a group largely made up of non-runners who are racing in the Great Manchester 10k run in memory of our late colleague Carlton Alexander who tragically lost his life in December 2015.
We are hoping to raise as much money possible to support UK Youth, a great charity:
UK Youth empowers 729,694 young people aged
11-25 through the infrastructure support they provided through community based youth groups across the country.
UK Youth’s vision is for every young person to become a positive force for change in their own life, and the lives of others, whatever their background or circumstance. Their mission is to give young people the tools they need for life, work and a better future.
To find out more about the impact of UK Youth’s work, watch this short film, and read of their Annual Review & our research on Local Youth Groups Today.
Here is an idea of what your donation could enable
£10 could help to pay for a young person to undertake a qualification to improve their job prospects
£25 could help to pay for a young person to have dedicated support from a youth worker to boost their confidence and self-esteem
£48 could help to pay for an intensive career coaching session to help a young person access employment
£100 could pay for two disadvantaged young people to take part in a day of personal development through outdoor learning
Thank you in advance for your support, we hope to see you at the finish line!!
Love from the Roadside Warriors!!
