Story
Hi All!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my page and read a little more about what I am doing! On July 17th this year, I will be taking part in the UK Ironman in Bolton, raising money for the Cornish Air Ambulance. The race consists of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile cycle and 26 mile marathon run to finish, to be completed within the 17 hour limit.
I have been looking for a challenge to push myself both physically and psychologically whilst also having the chance to raise money for a very worthy cause. I am currently 2 months into my training and will be taking part in several shorter length runs, swims and cycles in the lead up to the event to keep you posted on my progress!
I am raising money for the Cornwall Air Ambulance, a charity which I am sure a large part of you are familiar with and may have even seen in action first hand while in Cornwall. The Air Ambulance provide an ambulance service in Cornwall and the Scilly Isles, operating over 700 missions a year. The charity is solely maintained by private donations, without official funding so even the smallest amount you can donate will make a huge difference.
Thank you for visiting my page, please let me know if you have any questions.
All the best,
Arthur
