Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My Mum suffers from a rare brain condition called IIH (Idiopathic Intracrainial Hypertension. There is NO cure for this condition and not enough known about it or why people get it.

The IhaveIIH foundation help people with this condition and raise awareness of the condition, which is even rarely heard of within the medical profession.

Some American Football players and Astronauts get IH but their condition has a known cause. Sufferers of IIH do not know what the cause of their IH is; thats what 'idiopathic' means

This year my Mum has sadly lost 2 friends with IIH through accidental overdoses of their medication. People with IIH suffer constant debilitating headaches and loss of vision. The fluid in their heads is not absorbed as it should be and the resulting pressure crushes their brains causing the headaches and inevitably killing brain cells and causing brain damage.
