Thank you for taking the time to read my plea for these deserving kids we can help in South Africa!

 

A few years ago many of you helped me raise over £2,600 ($4,200) for a school in Rwanda, then for Mozambique in 2011 and now it's time for SOUTH AFRICA!!

 

If you know me well you know I have a HUGE heart for Africa and especially for the smiling children you meet anywhere you visit. I've been busy, like many of you, for the past few years focusing on my life: moving to Dubai, then moving back to London, work, friends, travelling, wedding after wedding and now it's time to focus on something more important than where we are going for drinks this weekend: children infected or affected by HIV, AIDS and TB.

 

During the past few years I have been keeping an eye out for a charity which I really felt passionate about. I am thrilled to say I've found it! The Thembalitsha Foundation.

 

I was preparing for yet another wedding and decided to make the intercontinental trip worthwhile I would find a place to volunteer for a few days. If you volunteer you will know that this is much easier said than done. Luckily it was meant to be and I was sent the Thembalitsha website. From there things moved quite quickly and I had so little time that I only read the charity’s background and information about the projects onboard my 11 hour flight to Cape Town. From page one I could see it was an amazing organization and when I arrived there a few days later I can tell you I received far more than I gave. I can vouch for the work and love they are pouring into the Grabouw communities and I hope you will help me support them in the wonderful projects they are running.  I can’t explain it all here because I doubt you have all day, but I’ve written a blog about part of my trip and you can find out all about the projects and where your hard earned money is going on their website (email me if you want specific info!).
