Story
I am running the Great Eastern Run in memory of my son Laurie who died in a tragic accident along with my mother in February 2012. He was 6 years old. He has been my motivation for starting running again at a very difficult time. Laurie was an enthusiastic, energetic and caring little boy with a great sense of humour. He loved sport and was always asking if he could come running with me. He is my inspiration in doing this. I never imagined I would be able to run the distances I am doing now and he carries me along.
I am raising money for The Laura Centre, a charity which offers specialist bereavement counselling to parents who have lost children and to young children who have been bereaved. They have been a source of great help and comfort to us and continue to do so. Their support continues to help us along a very difficult and painful journey.
Please support the Laura Centre for all their tremendous work. Our lives have changed incomprehensibly and will never be the same again. We rely on the support of those around us and the Laura Centre have been invaluable.
Thank you for all of your support,
Asi xx
