Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Assynt Mountain Rescue Team provide search and rescue cover for the NW Highlands of Scotland one of the largest and most remote geographical areas covered by a single team. We train all year round whatever the weather, in the mountains, on sea cliffs and even underground with Scottish Cave Rescue, so that we can respond to any incident at short notice 24/7. The team requires a diverse range of equipment and specialist clothing to operate and train effectively and much of the funding for this comes from public donations.

I was inspired watching the thousands of runners taking part in the 2015 London Marathon and decided if I could get a place this year, that I would try and raise some funds to support the team.
