Story

Audrey was a GP who contracted mesothelioma after being exposed to asbestos whilst working as a junior doctor at Belvedere Hospital , Glasgow. She retired from practice when she was diagnosed, and spent time working with medical students at The University of Glasgow, and volunteering with Clydeside Action on Asbestos.

Clydeside Action on Asbestos (CAA) is a registered charity which was formed in 1984 to provide advice and assistance to those who suffer from asbestos related disease and their families. CAA is widely credited as being the first asbestos support group in the UK.
