Story
This Autumn, Ed Lea and Sam Macdonald-Smith are cycling across North America; from Vancouver to Washington D.C. The route is around 3000 miles long and the boys will be completely unsupported which means they will be carrying all of their equipment, camping gear, food, water and clothing with them.
They are taking on this epic challenge in aid of the Enham Trust. This is a disability charity that works with over 7,500 individuals each year, helping them have increased independence and choice in the cornerstone areas of their lives.
It is especially close to their hearts because Ed's sister, Izzy Lea, has Cerebral Palsy and is a resident of Enham's community in Hampshire. Ed and Sam have seen through her the amazing work Enham does and what a worthwhile cause it is for us to support.
In addition, Izzy will be helping out with fundraising from base camp at Enham and is also taking on her own cycling challenge. She will be using an adapted stationary bike to cycle 30km. Her challenge will commence on the same day as the boys so they will all be cycling together!
