Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is the most common fatal genetic disease among Caucasians with an estimated worldwide patient population of 70,000 and an average survival age in the late 30's. While impressive research progress led to significant increases in both the lifespan and quality of life of CF patients, the only currently available treatments for most CF patients are symptomatic and the disease has no global cure.

Whilst the research in Bar-Ilan University is progressive and part of international consortium whose mission is to find a cure, there is a great need to progress the research to find both treatment and cure.  

Working for a registered UK Charity (314139), British Friends of Bar-Ilan University (http://www.bfbiu.org), the official representative of Bar-Ilan which aimed at promoting the activities and growth of the University, I feel it is necessary to rise to the challenge:

My aim is to increase awareness for this important cause and raise as much funds as possible to be sent to the research in Israel. I have thought of the ultimate sacrifice for myself - and for those of you who know me, I am sure you'll all agree I have found the challenge: Silence for 3 solid days! This momentous event will start on Friday the 28th of November and will last until eve of Sunday 30th of November. A contact of mine kindly suggested to sponsor me by the word not spoken during those 3 days. There's an idea. 

One of my closest friends is kindly looking to match the total amount raised. So, please help me reach my target, any amount in any of the given currencies will be more then welcome.
