Story
Sister Jane Linward
For those of you who may not know this, I have some sad news to tell you that Sister Jane Linward of the specialist birthmark unit at GOSH is retiring after nearly 20 years.
She attended the very first meeting in 1998 to set up the Birthmark Support Group and she has remained an invaluable point of advice and expertise over the phone and email. She has touched so many of us, helping beyond her call of duty.
We will forever be in her debt for what she has done for the BSG, her help has stretched so much further than all the children that have been treated at GOSH. I know she is still planning on keeping links with us and attending our family days but we would like to give her something as a special reminder of all the things that she has done over the years.
This is where you come in...
We thought that a photo book with individual messages would be a great way to capture your own personal thank you and memories in one place. You can upload you photo and message here: http://form.jotformpro.com/form/30546627424959
We also would like to give her something to thank her so would like to raise some money. So if you can dig deep and donate what you can we will see what sort of amount we get and then decide from there. If any great suggestions of gifts spring to mind when donating please comment with your donation or send an email to chairman@birthmarksupportgroup.org.uk.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
