Story

The most notable and enigmatic gentleman Mr Phileas Fogg cordially invites you to join him on a whistle-stop world adventure.  The challenge is afoot to run, swim, cycle and perambulate the circumference of the world within 80 days to confound the cads and naysayers of the Pall Mall Reform club.”

The Barbican charity group are delighted to announce the 2015 Barbican staff charity initiative- ‘Eighty Days around the World’ The challenge is to see whether Barbican's 200 staff members can collectively walk, run, cycle, swim, sail etc. the equivalent circumference of the earth (40,000km) in 80 days.

We are raising money for the Barbican Foundation charities: The Cardinal Hume Centre, the Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust and the UK Keratoconus Self-Help and Support Association. Each of these charities were nominated by staff members, with personal links to each cause, and voted for by the Barbican Staff Group.
