Story
Some of you will remember me running the London Marathon back in 2013 and like most people I didn't think I'd be crazy enough to do it again !
However, I always said that if I was lucky enough to get a place in the ballot that I would run the race for Tushinde.
Why Tushinde I hear you ask ?
When Claire and I married, we donated to a charity run by the church we were married in which educates children in Africa. We have never believed in handouts but are firm believers in a 'hand up' which is what Tushinde provides to the kids in the slums of Nairobi. Having supported 2 children who are around the same age as our own through school, our aim has always been to give these kids an education which will hopefully enable them to have a better life as well as their family.
It is a small charity run by very special people and we know that virtually every penny raised is spent directly on improving the lives of the children and the families it supports. It is also important to us that our own children are able to write to the children we sponsor and understand something of their lives and daily challenges.
It would be great if you are able to sponsor me as even a small amount of money makes a big difference to the education and support that can be provided to these children.
Please take the time to look at the Tushinde website to see the great work they do.
