Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As you all know my Mum Margaret passed away in April after living with cancer for three years. Although she was determined to not let it beat her, sadly it all became too much.  During the three years that she had cancer, she received outstanding care from the consultants, specialists, doctors and nurses at Mount Vernon hospital.  This is where she was given regular scans pre and post chemotherapy treatments to help her try and stay ahead of the illness.

Myself, Dad and Andy have decided to raise money in her memory for this worthwhile cause. Early diagnosis and the monitoring of cancer helps save lives. On the 12th of July we will be running the British 10k in and around London. The Paul Strickland scanner charity is currently raising money to buy an additional and much needed scanner for the hospital. As you would imagine these are extremely high tech and massively expensive pieces of equipment. Any money that we can raise will help to buy this invaluable scanner and in turn help others like Mum.

Thank you all for you love and support,

Gina, Geoff and Andy xxx
