Myself and a team of 12 wonderful friends and family will be taking part in the British 10K in London this July. This is why..... 

As you know, my mum passed away in April 2015. She had a quick 3 years living with Cancer which sadly took her in the end. It's hard to believe that it has been a whole year since she has passed away. People have said it gets easier after the first year but really it's harder as we've been apart for longer. 

It is my belief that had mum had her cancer diagnosed earlier, she may well have beaten it. Early diagnosis saves lives. The Paul Strickland scanner centre is an independent charity run facility that provides patients with excellent care and a vital range of scans that are much needed in staying one step ahead of this devastating disease. Obviously, such a service comes at a price. In July, #team MARG will take to the streets of London in memory of Margaget but also to raise money for all of those who desperately need the care and support at a very difficult time in their lives.
