I'm running the Winchester half marathon to raise money for Ugly Mugs because they are an amazing charity, which many people dpn't know about.

National Ugly Mugs (NUM) is a pioneering, national organisation which provides greater access to justice and protection for sex workers who are often targeted by dangerous individuals but are frequently reluctant to report these incidents to the police.

Whilst at Swansea University I volunteered for the Student Sex Work Project as a net reach volunteer. This project opened my eyes to a whole other side to the sex industry. I first heard about Ugly Mugs at a conference and I was very inspired by their cause and what they do.

I would like to help raise money for Ugly Mugs to support their cause and the safegaurding work they. I hope thar by running this half, it will also raise some awareness of Ugly Mug, this issues they are working towards preventing and getting you all to talk about a subject that others may consider too taboo to talk about.
