My life changed about 2 years ago when i found out i have severe aortic regurgitaion and mild dilation of aortic root and ascending aorta of the heart. I was attending Liverpool Heart and Chest out patient clinic every 12 weeks for regular check ups; In December it was decided that my operation would be in the new year and the date as booked. I have now had open heart surgery on the 14th January and after 6 nights in Critial Care and on Oak ward im home recovering. ALL staff at the hospital are amazing and the care they give you is amazing. You can understand why its the number one hospital.

My target was to raise £1000 before christmas and I was overwhelmed with everybody's generosity and was shocked to see the amount raised well before christmas. Thank you to everyone for donating you've made a huge difference to my life and others.

I will carry on fundraising to the hospital and raise as much money as I possibly can in the future as my way of thanking them for everything they have done for me and others on a daily basis.

I considered doing sponsored event but thought this would maybe get some money raised as its an ongoing site. Plus you know I don't do running!!

Do something different, change someones life for a better one and most of all feel proud for doing so!
