We provide life changing information to help inform homeless people

Story

As last year's efforts were curtailed following a serious knee injury, I thought I'd try for the marathon again. As before, I'm raising money for an absolutely brilliant charity that provides a lifeline for the homeless community in the UK.

The Pavement provides life-changing news and information for the UK homeless population, helping them to locate the services that they need to survive, as well as covering the issues that affect them most.

Run by a small team composed largely of volunteers, the magazine is distributed in London, Scotland and the West Midlands, with plans to extend this further afield.

The number of people sleeping rough in the UK is estimated to have gone up by 37 percent since 2010, a figure that is criminal in this day and age. The work of The Pavement and other homeless charities is vital to help those facing life on the streets and to make sure they have access to the facilities and services that can help them.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
