Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My friend Arlene Smith sadly lost her Mum to cancer on 29 December 2014. As a tribute to her Mum and as a thank you to St. Andrew's Hospice for the care they provided to her Mum in her final months, Arlene is raising much needed funds for the Hospice so that they can continue to provide the high quality care they are known for (the Hospice needs to raise £65,000 each week to deliver that care). Arlene has been fund-raising for the Hospice for years but this time it means so much more.
Although I have supported Arlene (in my own small way) with various fund-raising initiatives over the years and she has asked me numerous times to join her and her fellow trekkers on various treks, such as Everest or Kilimanjaro, on this occasion, I simply couldn't say no.
Over the coming weeks and months we will be organising various events to raise in the region of £26,000 for St. Andrew's Hospice (please visit our team page, the 'Jean Newman Memorial Trek for St. Andrew's Hospice' for more background information).
If you are willing to offer your time or talents to help us to help St. Andrew's Hospice, please get in touch. Alternatively, a small donation to the fund would be greatly appreciated.
