Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page
My best friend Jenny was due to walk the Yorkshire 3 peaks this year for a charity she worked tirelessly for Physcap, a wonderful Yorkshire charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for children suffering from severe physical disabilities by purchasing specialised and therapeutic equipment.
Unfortunately Jenny died suddenly in March and the friends she was planning the challenge with, her amazing sisters and the Charity have dedicated the walk in her memory, and we are walking together to raise as much money as possible in her name for the Charity and the children she cared so much about.
To put into context this challenge for me, I have never done anything like this or thought about it, complaining to Charlie at the Initial 3 peaks meetings that he hadn’t parked close enough to the building, oblivious to the irony of what we were doing there, and I would say still oblivious to the reality of what the Yorkshire 3 Peaks actually entails, happily accepting a 40th birthday party invitation for the evening as soon as the possible 12 hour walk is done!
Hence Charlie is undertaking this challenge with me first and foremost because he loves Jenny and wants to be part of this special fundraising event for her, but also to make sure I pick up pace to get us to the party on time, hopefully in one piece!
I miss Jenny everyday, I think about her everyday and I know she will be with us on this walk! Laughing at the most ridiculous unlikely walkers the Yorkshire 3 Peaks has yet to see (All the gear, No idea!).
Please support us and give generously to this incredible charity and help us make Jenny Proud by raising as much as possible in her beautiful name!
