Story

Colin Lehmann, a partner at Blick Rothenberg for over 30 years, died in February.  He was an exceptional individual who was heavily involved in charitable work and always keen to help others in the community.  We have been keen to identify an appropriate way to commemorate his life and continue that work.

Colin was suffering from pancreatic cancer so a number of Colin's friends and colleagues are raising funds in his memory for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

Friends and colleagues of Colin are entering a team into the Maccabi GB Community Fun Run on 19 June 2016.  Participants will be running (or walking) various distances.

Pancreatic Cancer is the tenth most common cancer in the UK but has the lowest survival rate of any of the most common cancers, and it currently receives only 1% of the total cancer research spend in the UK.  The experts still do not know enough about pancreatic cancer progression and resistance to therapy to support the development of new cancer drugs or treatment.

Pancreatic Cancer UK runs a Future Leaders Programme which aims to attract new research talent to the field and build a critical mass of pancreatic research by supporting clinical PhD level researchers with three year fellowships.  We would like to build a fund to support a number of young researchers, helping their academic development and also helping further the research into this area.

Thank you for your support.
