Story

What started as a random idea for a new challenge in 2016, has ended up being a reality!

16 Cyclists from the Boldmere Bullets will be cycling from one side of England to the other, over two days on 24th & 25th June.

The group will all start together in Seascale. There is then the option of two routes, depending on how much of a challenge the riders are after! Either the 'extreme' route or a more sensible route.

The 'extreme' route includes Hard Knot Pass, Wyrnose Pass and The Struggle and over 6000ft of climbing. The 'sensible' (but equally challenging) route is flatter, but will still involve over 3700ft of climbing! Both routes will be around 55 miles.

On the second day there is a 5 mile uphill drag up Hartside straight with a couple more hills before a steady downhill to Tynemouth. This will be around 85 miles.

The team completing this challenge are:

Chris Lowe; Neil Deakin; David Atkinson; Tom Swinbourne; Pard Bagdi; Andy Doogan; Steve Meeson; David O'Toole; Keith Rose; Jon Lawrence; Chris Chambers; Damian Bartlett; Paul Edgerton; Jag Samotta; Rob Wiles and Phil Scott.
