The Wimbledon and Wandsworth NCT breast feeding drop in started in September 2012 after we won a Lottery Awards for All Grant for £10,000. The funding ran out in 2013 so we are working to raise the money through grants, events and fund raising.

Since it started the Drop In has seen women with babies as young as a few days up to several months old. Families tend to access this service when they are desperate and have been unable to get help from the NHS due to lack of time and resorces.

The qulaified NCT breast feeding counsellors help with poor attachment, nipple soreness, mastitis, infections, too much milk, too little milk and the list goes on.

NCT supports all parents, however they feed their baby. If you have questions, concerns or need support when the drop in is closed, you can speak to a breastfeeding counsellor by calling our helpline on 0300 330 0700, whether you are exclusively breastfeeding or using formula milk. Breastfeeding counsellors have had extensive training, will listen without judging or criticising and will offer relevant information and suggestions.
