Story

I am the oldest rider to be riding from London to Amsterdam to raise awareness and funds for London Cycling Campaign and Love London go Dutch and Space for Cycling (You have probably noticed my badge). The ride has been renamed the David Eales Memorial Ride, following his untimely death, until four weeks ago he had intended to ride with us.

David suddenly became ill and was diagnosed with TEN (Toxic epidermal necrolysis) an absolutely horrific disease where the body rejects its own skin and despite the excellent care in Chelsea and Westminster Hospital's burns unit, he didn’t survive. He was just 50 and was married with two daughters

The remaining 6 members of the team, want to make the ride a great success in his honour. My appreciation of David is special, he was a friend, he wasn’t afraid to be different and he kept my conscience honest.
