Story
The Brighton & Hove Youth Collective is made up of eight youth organisations with over 100 years of collective experience to support young people across the city. Together they deliver an innovative and responsive programme of youth activities and information to support 13 - 19 year olds.
Their aims are simple:
1) For young people to have the opportunity to be active citizens and shape the services that effect their lives.
2) To give young people a chance to improve their resilience, especially those who are vulnerable and at risk.
3) To educate and develop family and community stability through proactive early prevention.
4) For young people to have fun and learn through doing.
The more Brighton & Hove Youth Collective can do with the young people in our city, the better lives they will lead in the future.
In the first year of operation 93% of users said that they had enriched their lives or developed new skills.
BHYC is managed by Impact Initiatives and supported by Brighton & Hove City Council's Youth Services.
