Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Thousands of soldiers are being called up in Israel on a regular basis. Thousands of mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers are distraught with panic and anxiety. Current soldiers and reservists alike have donned their uniforms and gone to the front.

Bar-Ilan University is proud of its students who have answered this call. We feel a tremendous sense of honor that our students are not shrugging their responsibility. But we are also worried about them- obviously, first and foremost for their physical safety. We know you are all joined with us in prayer for their return unharmed.  Our concern is going way beyond their physical safety;  Our young men and women are putting their lives on the line 24/7- the least we can do is make sure that all goes smoother for them on their return. THIS IS OUR TZAV 8!

Tzav 8 -NOW IS THE TIME TO COME TO THE AID OF THE COUNTRY. With your help we can:

*Offer guidance and counselling both on individual and group levels to the families of the soldiers who are in need of emotional and psychological support, with immediate effect

*Open our psychology and social work clinics to those civilians who are having trouble coping with the reality of sirens and rockets over their homes, as soon as possible

*Provide professional services to the  returning soldiers to help them deal with the war experiences and the readjustment to civilian life

*Provide financial support to our soldier students who have given up on their earned income in order to fight for the country

*Provide ancillary services to returning soldiers in the form of extra tutors and mentors, video- taping lectures etc.

*Your support will also enable us to establish an ongoing clinic for Loss and Trauma

*Say thank you to those combat soldiers who are on the battlefront by providing them with tuition scholarships- our way of letting them know they are appreciated

We are all confident and hopeful that all of our students will return home, they will all be back in time for the start of the academic year.  With your help, we will make sure the soldiers' return home is as painless as possible.
