Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am a big sister volunteer for Camp Simcha and have been for the last 7 years. Over the last couple of years I have also joined the Manchester committee and help organise parties & outings.
Camp Simcha is a charity which supports families with any form of cancer or any other condition that represents a threat to life. These conditions include muscular dystrophy, cystic fibrosis, many rare genetic conditions such as dysautonomia, serious heart conditions and uncontrolled seizures.
Camp Simcha offers all kinds of support to the families which include, family retreats, children’s retreats, parties, outings, parents support, siblings support, hospital transport as well as many others.
As this charity is very close to my heart I have decided to undertake the greatest challenge of my life and conquer the Grand Canyon in May 2016 while raising funds for this special charity and trek for 4 days covering around 38 miles including 2 nights in a tent. This is extremely challenging for me as the most I walk is to the car and back. I have started a vigorous training program and I am saving a lot of petrol.
I would be very grateful if you could take
part in helping me achieve this challenge and sponsor me. Your donations will go towards the following:
£18 Help a volunteer take a child out for a treat e.g. a Pizza or a cinema trip
£36 Provide an art session with our Art Therapist for a Camp Simcha child £50 Provide hospital transport to a family who need it
£100 Provides a magical party for around fifty children
£500 Provide beautiful bright coloured balloons to cheer hundreds of children up in hospitals and hospices throughout the year.
£750 Provide 30 or more children with an unforgettable outing
£1,000 Provide nursing for two Camp Simcha events
