Hopefully most of you who are looking at this will know me and the work we do in difficult situations around the world. Our policy is to work where we have a person and an organisation we know and can trust on the ground. Our contact is known to one of our regular supporters at Eagles Wings. Phone and email contact has been established and we have checked a secure line to them and what they can do with our UK aid. For many years they have been in front line relief work particularly in rural locations- kickstarting  small self sufficiency initiatives amongst the desperately poor, who already struggled before the earthquake. The needs are massive but specific donations to individual families who need essentials and have lost everything will be our policy. I will be reporting back with pictures and stories over the next few weeks.
