Story

Thank you so much for visiting my Just Giving Page!

The Amy Winehouse Foundation is a charity I hold very close to my own heart. I have had my own battles which have hindered my creative, personal and social relationships over the years. When Amy died my life drastically changed.

I want to keep a connection with the Foundation as my musical/artistic success grows, and It's an ambition of mine to become an ambassador for the charity one day. Until then, I aim to do whatever I can to raise money and help people to get the right advice and treatment to steer them away from drug and alcohol addiciton, and towards music and other creative paths.

"WALK THE NORTHERN LINE" -
https://www.dropbox.com/s/xyo6ze5td096ou9/Walk%20The%20Northern%20Line%20-%20PRESS%20RELEASE%20%26%20%20JOURNEY%20PLANNER.pdf?dl=0

£998.61 Total raised up until point of announcement. 05/01/2016

We will start the walk at High Barnet
station, walk all the way to Morden, via Bank. Then get the tube back to
Embankment station to avoid doubling back on ourselves. Then we will walk to
Warren Street, then get the tube to Edgeware, where we will walk the final
stretch and finish back in Camden, and celebrate in Amy’s most loved stop on
the Northern Line! Even though we will be KNACKERED BEYOND BELIEF!

This journey will take around 15 hours in
total, with various pit stop times included, and nearly 40 miles will be
walked. It’s a HUGE endurance task if you’re planning to do the whole thing, (and
we know, Jenny Conlon and I, my fundraising buddy who I’ve climbed a mountain
with and jumped out of an airplane with for the Amy Winehouse Foundation in the
past, that this is a crazy thing to do!!) Anyone can join at any point in the
walk and walk as small of a section as they are able to, or be there to meet us
when we finally reach Camden in the evening! I’ll be posting pictures of us at
each station so you can follow the event in real time, Instagram: BRIGHT_SMOKE     Twitter: @BrightSmokeHQ

Anyone attending needs to make sure that
they wear suitable walking shoes and clothes, bring a rucksack with water and
plenty of food/snacks. Sun cream, and some warm layers to pop on if it gets
cooler in the evening, although the walking will warm us up! As I mentioned
earlier, we will be using the tube to avoid doubling back on ourselves, so don’t
forget your oyster card! I am aware that Tubes might not be up and running in
time for us all to get to Edgeware at 6am, so sharing lifts/taxis would be the
best way.

This task will be a battle, and it will
represent the battles people with addictions face every day. This journey will
be a very personal one for myself, and the whole point is to raise as much money
and awareness as we can for the Amy Winehouse Foundation, so set up your Just
Giving event pages, and get sponsored!

Big Love,

FEATURES IN "ADDICTS SYMPHONY" FOR CHANNEL 4:
http://www.channel4.com/programmes/addicts-symphony/4od

there were many reasons for wanting be involved in this documentary, but a big priority was to raise awareness for the Amy Winehouse Foundation, due to people researching my back story, and reasons for recovery. If you are finding this page because of Addicts Symphony, please spare a pound or two for this wonderful cause. The Amy Winehouse Foundation helps to fund so many charities, and there is a lot more than meets the eye if you think it's just drug and alcohol addiction they focus on! You can read more about what they do over on their website:

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! XXXX

The skydive got cancelled for the 2nd time due to gale force winds! Unfortunately we will now definitely be looking at a date before March next year to take to the sky. I did spend the day with Janis Winehouse on the day we were supposed to do the skydive and you can see photographs and briefly read about it on my facebook page:

9th August 2013:
Tonight was my headline show at 229 Venue in Great Portland Street, London. We had a lovely turn out and we raised £30.44 in donations.

13th August 2013:
It was a small crowd at The Dublin Castle and only £9.87 in donations were made. Still, every penny counts!! : )

 16/08/2013:
Last night was the  "Vintage Rascal" launch night at Paper Dress Vintage in Shoreditch. Just wanted to say a massive thank you to Listening Party who gave an extra shout out for my fundraising during their set also! We raised £22.66, so over the last 3 gigs in London I've managed to raise £62.97 for the foundation!

14th september:
SOUTHSEA FEST. I was hoping to raise lots of money at this event but unfortunately very few people donated. I only managed to collect £14.90 worth of donations.

21st september:
I had 2 gigs in one day in Southampton and I raised an INCREDIBLE £176.94!! I'm still a little overwhelmed at the response and can't thank everyone enough for being so generous. Brought me to tears opening up that charity bucket and seeing so many notes inside. It means so much to me that so many people understand how important this charity is, and why I am so passionate about it.
