Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page

You can follow our progress for the double marathon on the day through Twitter    #WalkforBurge

In April this year we sadly lost one of our best friends, James Burgess, through epilepsy. In his memory we are raising money for Epilepsy Action via a sponsored walk.

James was very caring and did all he could to benefit others, pushing himself as much as possible - he never did things by halves.

So we have decided to do a non-stop 52 mile walk (2 marathons) from London to Brighton to support the charity which helps so many, on the 13th September 2014.

  • Epilepsy Action is the UK’s leading epilepsy organisation and exists to improve the lives of everyone affected by the condition. As a member-led association, they are led by and represent people with epilepsy, their friends, families and healthcare professionals.
  • Epilepsy can affect anyone at any age and from any walk of life, and globally over 50 million people have the condition. Epilepsy Action is there to support people every step of the way through living with the condition.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
