Story
Hello
Ian is running in the Liverpool Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon on May 25th and this is why.....
We recently visited Rohan in India. He is our little boy who we sponsor. He is looked after by El Shaddai and lives in House of Kathleen. Rohan attends Shanti Niketan School, but it is quite a long walk for a small boy and the road has no pavements, so he has to take the bus. He also needs the bus to get to the beach. He and his friends love going to the beach at the week end
When he’s a bit older, he will also need the bus to go to sports matches (the boys are mad keen on football) and on educational visits.
El Shaddai has three buses, but they are getting old; if you have experienced Indian roads, you would know how that has happened!
Last year, with the help of friends we raised nearly £5,000. We would like to raise another£9k so we could buy a new bus, so Rohan and his friends can learn and enjoy life in safety.
To find out more, go to childrescue.net and look out for news of a big bus event later this year.
Thank you
Ian Scott and Stephen Murphy
