About Iain More
Iain More has been a development practitioner and consultant for over 25 years, following a varied career in industry, higher education and politics in the US and Europe. He held a number of Director of Development positions both in the UK and in continental Europe until his founding of Iain More Consultants (then Iain More Associates; rebranded as More Partnership when he retired) in 1989. In his long and rewarding career Iain has worked with a wide range of educational institutions, charities and other not-for-profit organisations providing advice on all aspects of development work. In the early days of development in the UK, Iain was a beacon of knowledge and played a pioneering role in introducing development concepts already tried and tested in the US, such as telephone fundraising, initially a novelty in Europe. Many techniques have since become common practice.

Iain has been a counsellor and a mentor for many young professionals over the years, delivering experienced advice together with passion, dedication and a quest to promote excellence in the profession. His open-mindedness and ability to capture the essence of every idea, programme or activity has gained him the distinctive reputation of a trusted and inspiring fundraiser.
