Copley Cricket Club has had its old pavilion knocked down and over the last 8 months have completed the structural building work on a new community clubhouse. Work has come a long way over this time but there is still a lot to do on the clubhouse before it is finished and the club still needs to raise money to complete a number of health and safety projects such as walkway levelling and finishing, stair banisters, kitchen furnishings and safety railings before the community can truly benefit from it.
The new facilities will help encourage, build and grow the already established links with the local community, with the plans including increased community and function space and improved facilities for girls and the disabled. The newly formed girls team is starting to benefit from these facilities already and the club has held a number of coaching sessions for local primary schools to encourage the development of skills.
The Club has partnerships with a number of organisations, including nationally with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB),  Sport England Clubmark, Yorkshire County Cricket Club and local connections with Calderdale College, Ravenscliffe High School and with local primary schools through the Chance to Shine scheme.
