Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Chernobyl Kids charity desperately need funds this year and is thousands short of money needed to help the youngsters. Please can you help the kids and motivate me?

I have been training all winter for this very extreme walk. I am still dreading it in some ways to be honest - so please if you can help encourage me with a donation you will motivate me but more importantly you will bring improved health and happiness to the Chernobyl kids.

The Kids Charity

Thirty years ago the worst nuclear disaster happened. Thirty years is no time at all in the life of radioactive waste and fallout, and the people of Belarus live with the atrocious after effects every day of their lives. Cancer, leukaemia, diabetes, birth defects, miscarriage. Just to name a few.

In Leeds the charity brings teenagers for four weeks in the summer, to alleviate the effects on them. Four weeks here increases their immunity against cancer by up to three years when they go home. I don't get paid, none of us who help and fundraise and host in Leeds get paid. Their parents can't afford to send them away to a clean area themselves, so we raise every penny they need.

Hold your kids tight today, you've no idea how lucky you are...

Please if you can make a donation now,

Thank you

a giant hug of thanks
to you

Richard
