I've never done anything like this before, I was always the last one finishing at cross country in my class and faking sick notes to get out of PE! Working as a children's entertainer on the side and smashing out big fish little fish and gangnam style has improved my fitness and given me a taste of feeling the burn!
Working as an actress has allowed me to have a fantastic life. I have met and worked with amazing people and been lucky enough to travel and live in amazing places such as Spain and Vienna. After a fantastic year for my career in Theatre and Television I was keen to sign up with Spotlight for their 10K run for an opportunity to give back to the acting world that has been so wonderful to me.
I love running and I'm looking forward to get fit and in shape for a great cause! It's not going to be easy but nothing worth doing or achieving ever is!
Acting for Others raises money for many different charities in the theatrical field. It was founded in the 1960's by Laurence Olivier, Richard Attenborough and Noel Coward.
"For every successful actor, there are hundreds of performers, backstage and front-of-house theatre staff who are not so fortunate. They may be suffering from illness, disability, or be caring for children with special needs. Many in our industry lend their support or put their name to other good causes but, like any profession, we also try to take care of our own." - Acting for Other's Website www.actingforothers.co.uk
This is my chance to do something I have never done before and give back to a great cause.
