Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit the OPI JustGiving page.
This year, we will join another office products industry congregation to tackle 10 of the toughest mountains in the UK's Lake District under the Climb of Life (COL) theme of ‘10 YEARS 10 HI-PEAKS 4 ICR’ on November 4.
This year's efforts will again be done with the memory of a much-liked former colleague uppermost in our minds. Former OPI marketing manager Michelle "Pesty" Richards sadly lost a long and courageous battle with leukaemia two years ago.
About the event...
The event sees teams climb the UK's highest Lakeland Mountains during freezing winter conditions to raise money for the global charity, the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR). This short video clip from last year's climb will give you some idea of the conditions the OPI team will be facing:
Created 29 years ago and organised by industry stalwart and Chairman of the BOSS Benevolent Fund Graeme Chapman MBE, Climb of Life has been supporting the ICR and its vital research for the past ten years.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Please dig deep and support this fantastic cause. And hopefully one day there won’t be a need to climb mountains in the wind and snow, and we won’t have to mourn friends, colleagues and relatives who have lost their battle against cancer.
Thank you.
