Emma and I have set this up as a goal to get us back to fitness.  We had 6 months of driving rather than walking and we want to get back to where we were before and better.

FOGADD is a charity both of us support.  It has no administration costs other than the annual bank charge to transfer the funds to South Africa so every penny goes directly to the projects we support.  Those projects are carefully monitored by a watch committee in Grahamstown, all of whom are known well by the trustees and some of whom are involved in Rhodes University.

The projects focus on helping children achieve their potential when their circumstances make that difficult.  They support them with school fees for a good school, with somewhere to do their homework, with a meal before school to stop that distracting grumble, with uniform that is kept respectable so they can feel like everyone else.   There are also social work projects and pre-school support.

Our children are very lucky to be able to take these things for granted. FOGADD helps Eastern Cape children with this support and the children really appreciate it, not taking it for granted at all.
