Story
In May 2014 I am travelling to Africa as a volunteer, to help a project at an orphanage with an organisation called Coco's Foundation http://www.cocosfoundation.co.uk/
This organisation was started by a local Crawley business man Chris Connors who wanted to make a difference to orphaned children in the poorest parts of Africa. I have committed to raise £2,500 as my contribution to the Project and whilst I am there I will be part of a small team building homes in the orphanage.
I am taking unpaid leave from work to go out to Africa in May and I am asking everyone I know to support my challenge of raising £2,500 – every £1 counts, whether it is £5, £10, £20 or more, please can you help me achieve my goal and make a real difference to young children’s lives in Africa.
The children I will be meeting and helping have been made orphans as a result of Aids and often have to fend for themselves, and children as young as 10 are often the 'parent-child' looking after their younger siblings. The CoCo's Foundation through the Build4TheFuture program is helping to raise £30,000 to build ten houses for these children.
Lulisandla Kumntwana (which means “Reach Out to the Child”) is a community outreach project of Mseleni Children’s Home.
So please dig deep and donate now, no matter how big or small it will make a difference.
