Little steps to making lives better
I have decided to climb, in June 2016, the Salkantay trek in Peru to fundraise for the charity Emunah. I realise that the challenge will be hard, that I will be taking approximately 130'500 steps, that over 70 km will be walked, and that I will not be able to shower or sleep in a bed for 6 days. Nevertheless I intend to make every one of my 130'500 steps count.
It is wholeheartedly that I leave the comforts of my home to help bring a little comfort to the thousands of disadvantaged kids and families that live in Israel. Although most of us know the booming and beautiful Israel, figures show that 1.7 million people in Israel live in poverty, including 776,000 children. Many children suffer ill-health, abuse and violence and need our help. Emunah is a wonderful charity that takes care of underprivileged Israelis thanks to their residential homes, schools, day care centres and psychological services.
The little that we can do to help would make a huge difference to the lives of those that Emunah care for. Please help me through this challenge by donating to the cause.
Thanking you so much in advance, Candice Frischer
