Fundraising for Sailors’ Society
Story
ON 17-20 JUN 2016, GEORGE WELLS, IVAN EIO, AND JAMES LEWIS ARE CLIMBING BEN NEVIS, HELVELLYN, AND SNOWDON IN A 24 HOURS TIME-FRAME!
They are three of the highest peaks in Great Britain:
Ben Nevis (1344m/4406ft)
Helvellyn (950m/3118ft)
Snowdon (1085m/3560ft)
The funds we raise will help make an enormous difference to seafarers' lives and ensure support is provided when and where it is desperately needed.
The money raised will go towards the Sailor's Society work supporting seafarers worldwide. Last year the society's supporters helped to:
- Reach 376,200 seafarers
- Transport 21,600 seafarers
- Visit 233 seafarers in hospital
- Visit 305 retired or inured seafarers at home
- Make 569 welfare grants
