Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
When I first took part in the Women's Mini Marathon it was a huge achievement for me. I had just lost a significant amount of weight and walking 10k was a daunting task. This will be my 7th year to participate and I am delighted to say that this year, for the first time, I will be running the 10k.
Earlier this year, the Vodafone Ireland Foundation announced a five year partnership with ISPCC/Childline that aims to keep children safe by keeping them connected.
The ISPCC is the only voluntary organisation in Ireland providing 24 hour listening services to children and young people all over Ireland.
Every day hundreds of children contact the ISPCC’s Childline phone line and Childline Online service because they are worried, scared, upset, or just to talk. Sometimes, it’s because a child has lost a loved one and is struggling to cope. Sometimes, bullying is so stressful they don’t know where to turn. Sometimes, violence at home has become unbearable. Or sometimes they just want to talk and tell someone how their day was.
Every donation to the ISPCC/Childline helps transform lives.
I would really appreciate it if you could support my efforts to raise some much needed funds for ISPCC/Childline to ensure that no child’s call goes unanswered.
Thanks in advance
