Story
Over the first weekend of June, a small group of us will be cycling from London to Paris to raise money for Rainbow Trust Africa.
Rainbow Trust Africa works to improve the lives of people in Southern Zambia. Operating from a 12-acre site in Livingstone the Trust was established in 1996 and provides, amongst other things, education for hundreds of children, healthcare to five remote locations twice weekly and support for destitute grandmothers and their orphaned grandchildren.
Update: Assurance of power supply is something that we so readily
take for granted in this country. However at certain times of year in Zambia, power cuts are rife, often leaving large proportions of the country with no power at all. As much of the electricity is supplied by hydro-electric power stations, no rain means no power.
As you can imagine this really affects the work the amazing
work that Rainbow Africa can do!
To help with their power security we are fundraising towards
some solar panels to ensure that now sun can equal power.
In 1 weeks time I will be cycling from London to Paris in aid of this, and would be so grateful if you could give absolutely anything towards this brilliant cause.
Thanks for all of your help
