Story
In 2014, I wanted to raise awareness for victims and survivors of child abuse in the UK. I wanted to set up an exhibition in which every submission to that exhibition would represent a person that had been subjected to abuse as a child. I wanted to raised awareness of child abuse in the UK, to help people to understand how prevalent it actually was and to help end the silence that surrounds abuse.
Now in 2015, my dream is becoming a reality. The exhibition is taking shape, people have sent in their submissions, organisations have come on board to help and the exhibition is being launched in collaboration with the Southmead Project.
The 4th January 2016, the exhibition will be launching in Bristol. This will be a invitation only launch to enable the contributors to view the exhibition and then to hear key note speakers from the Southmead Project and NAPAC. From the 5th to the 9th January 2016 the exhibition will be open to the public. Come and see the exhibition at the Colston Hall, Bristol.
I am raising money for the Southmead Project and NAPAC. The Southmead Project has covered the set up costs for this exhibition through sponsorship so the more money I can raise, the further we can take this exhibition.
